AI agents are moving out of the lab and into live business. Gravitee's job is to make sure that happens safely.

Gravitee provides security, governance and control for how organisations use AI agents in production. Founded in 2015 as an open-source API management project, it now helps hundreds of companies, including Michelin, Roche and Tide, manage the APIs, event streams and agents their businesses run on. Blundell describes the goal as human-agent harmony: people and agents working together, so businesses can capture the economic gains agents promise without losing control of them. In May 2025 Gravitee raised a $60m Series C led by Sixth Street Growth, taking total funding past $125m.

Why trust matters

Asked what put Gravitee on the Company Challenge shortlist, Blundell keeps it simple. "We care deeply about how humanity as a whole can adopt agentic technologies, but do it in a trustworthy, safe, secure and governed way that enables society to get the most from this technology."

That conviction, he says, is what is driving Gravitee's growth.

Leading through a big challenge

Running one of the UK's fastest-growing scale-ups is hard every single day, Blundell admits. But he sees the difficulty as part of the point.

"It's an absolute pleasure to lead a team of amazing people through what is a massive challenge for society. That's what drives me forward."

Advice for founders

His answer is one word, and a short instruction. "Perseverance. When you're down, get back up and fight."

AI infrastructure at GP Bullhound

As AI agents move from pilots into production, the layer that governs them becomes critical infrastructure. Foundational AI and data is one of GP Bullhound's specialist sub-sectors, and the firm's research, including Europe's AI Opportunity 2026, tracks where value is building across the stack. Gravitee, a European company that grew from an open-source project into a global platform, is the kind of business that story is about.

About the GP Bullhound Allstars Awards

Now in its 24th year, the GP Bullhound Allstars Awards recognise the founders, entrepreneurs, operators and investors building Europe's technology companies. The 2026 awards ran across 15 categories, from Deep Tech and Sports Tech to Exit of the Year and Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and brought the ecosystem together in London on 15 October.

GP Bullhound hosts the Allstars for the same reason it advises founders every day: it is bullish on European tech and the people building what comes next. The awards give that work a stage, and put the people behind it in a room with the investors, operators and peers who can help it go further.
